Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal took stock of the relief and rehabilitation works in the rain-affected Chaitdu, Lower Chaitdu, Maned, Bagli, Pasu of Dharamsala sub-division and directed the departmental officers to prepare the damage assessment. During this, Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal also interacted with the affected people and asked them to ensure speedy disposal of their problems.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal said that necessary steps are also being taken for the rehabilitation of homeless people. A relief camp has also been set up for the affected in Bagli, in which proper arrangements have been made for accommodation and food etc., as well as medical facilities have been provided to the people living in the camp.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal said that Kangra district administration is fully alert to deal with the disaster, due to which an amount of 15 crore 31 lakh has been released to the sub-divisional officers to deal with the disaster in Kangra district so that relief and rehabilitation work. Apart from this, equipment has already been made available to deal with the disaster at the sub-divisional level. Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal said that an amount of one lakh has been released to the Public Works Department to change the flow of the ravine in Shahpur's Rajol so that the work can be expedited.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal said that to deal with the disaster, control rooms have been set up at the district and sub-division level, this control room will be open 24 hours in the monsoon season so that the disaster can be dealt with with quick effect. He said that nodal officers have also been appointed by all the departments for the works related to disaster management during monsoon season so that disaster management can be done smoothly.
